Michele regularly speaks at writers groups, bookshops and conferences. The following are descriptions of some of her popular writing workshops. If you are interested in bringing Michele to speak at your event, contact her for availablity.

Uncorking the Romance in Your Mystery
This workshop will focus on how the writer creates a mystery including characters, plot lines, and theme. The romance is the thread that strings the story together and gives the reader two huge reasons to keep them reading—who is the killer, and will the heroine wind up with the hero. In this workshop I will discuss the subtleties and not so subtle ways a romance can be weaved into a mystery without stealing the thunder.

Writing The Mystery
This covers the basics of writing the mystery. Writing a mystery has specific challenges that other genres don't always have—specifically the puzzle of who dunnit. This workshop will go over how to outline a mystery and work through the puzzle, how to give clues, mislead and throw out red herrings. I will also cover sub-plot and why it is important and how if the writer plans to write a series how that sub-plot (which doesn't have to be a romance) can carry the writer and reader through.

Writing the Niche Mystery
This workshop covers the concept of the niche mystery. We will discuss why concept/or niche mysteries are great sellers. Ie: The Tea Mysteries, Culinary Mysteries, The Wine Lover's Mysteries, The Coffee House Mysteries, etc., and why and how they work. It's tapping into the passion of the writer that can be broad based and used to target market. We will discuss how to market these mysteries and why they can be
advantageous to write them from a marketing view point.

The 5 P's
This is a workshop geared to motivate. I will discuss my personal journey on the writing path and how I finally after a dozen years got my foot in the door. The 5 p's are my philosophy not only to my writing
career but to life as a whole. They are: Passion, Persistence, Purpose, Patience, & Peace. I will discuss these in depth and as with all workshops I will leave time open for questions and answers.
